Mercia Ensemble is a striking and talented new chamber music group formed in the Midlands. After meeting each other in Repton School in Derbyshire, Claire, Petra and Emma established The Mercia Ensemble in 2015 and made their début in Nottingham at an operatic song recital. Much in demand as individual musicians, they have travelled the globe performing to international audiences. They have a vast repertoire ranging from operatic arias, solo piano and clarinet music, to popular tunes and modern songs. In August 2015, they made a recording in The Purcell Room at the Southbank Centre in London. They toured the South West coast of Norway in August 2016 and March 2018, performed in the Codsall Arts Festival in March 2018 and are preparing many exciting projects in the near future.
